    good places to buy tungsten and filler material in the toronto/mississauga area? any one have any suggestions? all i know is praxair

    Hey, Steve, you're about 40 kilometers from Everlast Canada, located in Burlington. A bit of a distance, but I bet they'd take care of you, at least for tungsten.

    weldingcity.com is a low priced source, they're in the US so email them for a shipping quote (it should be cheap). A 10 pack of 3/32 2% lanthanated tungsten will last you a long time and cover most of your needs. http://www.weldingcity.com/tungsten-...-2.4mm-x7.html

    I've had good experiences with Welding City too, but I'm not sure what would be the additional cost to get items into Canada. By the time they add the VAT or whatever it might make more sense for Steve to source items closer to home.

    I don't think it would be much... for the tungsten anyway.

    Had to look it up: GST (goods and services tax) is an additional 5%. But I don't know how it's collected or paid.

    You might check out tungsten-direct on ebay. I had a good buying experience with this shop.
