    I put this cart together out of an old bed frame.
    I need to add some cable management hooks
    and some sheet meatal for the shelves.

    That welder cart looks real nice!. Nice bike frame too!

    What rod did you use for welding it together?

    I've had bad luck welding the bed rail angle iron, it seems to crystallize using any mild steel rod I use, stick or mig.

    Hey dwdw, I used cheap harbor freight welding rod, It's also some scrap
    angel from the junk yard,I cleaned the crap out of it.
    It's finished and painted.

    The high carbon steel bed rails are a pain to drill as well, but the plasma will poke a hole in them.

    I like the tires. Somewhere there is a grounded go-kart. Rims idea for the cable holders is slick (no pun).

    Thanks guys....Yea , The old drag racer in me kinda comes out in some if my ideas. This cart is so nimble I think she could be on Dancing With the Stars. I left some room on bottom for a cooler.

    I have had terrible luck with bed frame metal in the past so I swore off using it. I would get welds that would crack right at the HAZ and the metal would look crystallized. I replaced the bed frame material with Hot roll "L" and it worked great. I guess all bed frames are NOT created equal. Has anyone else had this happen?
