Hello, Francis, and welcome to the forums! I had to look up "PAW", and see that it stands for plasma arc welding- what are you welding on? Looking forward to your thoughts on the PA 160 STH.

Welcome to the forum Francis. I think you'll like your new 160STH once you get used to it. I've become rather attached to mine and wouldn't give it up for anything...well, except for a machine with more amps, pulse features, a water-cooled torch, and A/C capability. But don't tell my 160 STH any of that! I sense it would get jealous and spiteful of my dream welder.

New Everlast PowerTig 250EX that is begging for me to come up with a few welding projects so it can stretch it's legs. Did someone say aluminum???

Nothing special , it was back in day of school (1999-2001) when we learn different process, PAW was just a part of the tool they show us when learning gtaw (tig) it goes as easy as tig with less contamination and more penetration , they told us that it will be the futur of welding and they will replace tig, but this is not the case so far and if you are good with a tig , there is not enought application that will need this process instead of a tig . I know it was a thermal arc welder http://www.directindustry.com/prod/v...91-634648.html
