Hey, CGC, haven't heard from you in a while! Hope things are going good!
McMaster.com has different types of duct- this one is aluminum and goes up to 14".
http://www.mcmaster.com/#corrugated-duct/=p2cxi2
They have some plastic ducting in 18" and 20", too.

hard to believe you can't pick up a length of spiral pipe. must be your location.
look for a mechanical contractor doing commercial install and they can probably point you in the right direction.
or, go to craigslist for your area. look under skilled trades for someone hiring commercial ductwork installers etc. and call them and ask.
it comes, as a rule, in ten foot joints and runs about 7 dollars a foot on a ten foot length. 24/26 ga. 14 in dia. you'll have to prep it for paint,
there are some places that will supply it painted.
it's out there, but shipping is what will get you; that and pray it doesn't arrive oval.
Try the local HVAC shop for used pipe first. It's normally something that the commercial shops keep around, and many times the "stock" outside in the rack is in various lengths. The HVAC/plumbing contractor I used to work for had at least a 70' of every size in their yard behind the shop, from 6" to 16" diameter, and misc sizes up to 36" diameter. They'd clean out the rack once a month or so, which meant that good pieces were thrown out or employees took them home for personal use. Might get lucky, and you won't pay for shipping either.
If nothing else, a local shop can probably help you out the next time they place an order with their supplier by allowing you to tack your order onto theirs. As mentioned above, they come in 10 foot sections, so you have a few options for making up the 12' you need.

Things are good. Been Really busy at work and now I'm adding on to my basement......Because....... My wife is Pregnant!! My life is ending.....
I'm making an "Industrial" looking room that is going to be my photo editing room/man cave with all my junk I build in it. The ducting is going to cover the drain for the house and I have actually changed the plans and only need about 8' of it now. It will run from the floor to the ceiling with an huge gate valve handle mounted to it that will open a small window down low to access the drain clean out port...... at least this is what I see in my head!?! I always get grand ideas that usually don't work so well . I also want to add some type of old gigantic pressure gauge by the handle to add to the look.
This is about what I'm wanting.... http://www.mcmaster.com/#corrugated-duct/=p2pgjx Smooth but still has the ribbed look. Don't think link is direct..so... It is the High Temp. Aluminum #55015K48
I live in a small area so there are no HVAC places to go look and the guys that do it have no clue about commercial ducting.
I've looked and called many people down here and found nothing so I'm probably going to have to take a day off and head to St. Louis. I Definitely do NOT want Oval!!! lol..
Thanks for the help!
I'm also needing some old clean brick for one wall down there if anyone knows of a place to get some online. I've seen bricks that have names of building or street names carved in them... a few like that would be cool.
I'm framing the basement tomorrow so all this decorating stuff is way down the road...

Also.... I will need to split the pipe to wrap it around my drain so will the Aluminum interlink pipe be a pain to deal with once it's split!?

Congratulations in advance on a new baby! By the way, your life is only over if it's multiples like octuplets, or something.
Are you thinking to split it into two halves, with two cuts along the long axis? If you cut it once and bend the aluminum tube to go around a pipe, like it was a clam shell, it seems like it would be tough to bend back.

Yeah.... Didn't think about the bending part. it would kink it. Hmmmm......
Didn't want two halves. I could cut a 4" piece out to slip it over the drain pipe and then mount the pipe close enough to the wall that you don't see it or make a cover for it I guess.
Back to the drawing board, thanks for thinking of that for sure!

You could use concrete form tube from the home center, and faux-finish to look like anything you want. It's easy to work with, would be more like a woodworking project.
Neat idea, a giant pipe running up the wall with a huge handle or wheel shutoff valve. The gauge should be scaled in billions of psi
Have fun with it!
Jim
Now your talkin!! Where would I find something like that though?!
That would be pretty cool! Push a button and a red light spins and that 1950's ehhh, ehhh, ehhh alarm goes off. Maybe a fog machine. Don't get me going, my wife is already asking if I really need to do all this... lol

Ok... That idea is Way too expensive. Found a missile tube for $1300 and a belly tank for $1850. I'll stick with $200 in HVAC

Good to hear you are doing OK, CGCINC. Also, congratulations on the new addition to the family!
As to your grand projects, we've all seen some of your projects and they've come out really well (even if they were made by a cabana boy! LOL You still responsible for the pool?)
Maybe use the concrete form to wrap the pipe and then decorate the form to resemble a missile?
Still the pool boy .... We had 15 new villas built this year so the pool gets a lot more use and makes for a lot more work. I might need to resign from that position once little Tyneeshia Deon is here.
I really just want the ribbed look like the ac duct has without using a corrugated pipe. Smooth and painted Asphault to match the exposed floor joists....which will have an expanded metal or something like it between and up in the floor joists to hide pipes and vents.
