Interesting build, please do post pictures in operation. Does this *require* a 3/8 cotton rope wick? Could you roll a cotton t-shirt/rag into a tight cylinder instead?
At first I thought it was one of these...

... but yours has zero moving parts, even better.

Have you ever made a beer can alcohol stove?

Sure - just make sure it is 100% cotton. I ordered some ordinary cotton rope from Amazon for about $8.75; I hope it gets here today.
I haven't seen one of those before, but it looks cool! Mine you just like and go...
Haven't tried beer cans as I don't drink beer, but I have tried very similar concepts. The beer can type burners don't like wind; whereas, my contraption will still work in 15 mph+ wind, as I tried it yesterday. Also, mine is a lot easier to get started since it's just a "wick" saturated with fuel.
It took me a couple days to think this out completely and then three part days, over two weekends, to get it finished.
I'll get more pictures up and maybe even a video once I get the rope.
Thanks for commenting guys

Hey guys,
I finally got that 3/8" cotton rope that I was waiting on.
I have the "wick" sticking out about 1-1/4"
I also added 4 more 3/8" air inlet holes to allow enough air to burn clean.
My Youtube video is currently uploading (41%) as of 4:25 CDT

Heavy duty! Looks like it can also be pressed into service as a jack stand for your car.
