Thread: Who to buy from?

  1. Default Who to buy from?

    Hi,

I am getting close to ordering a Everlast Tig machine. Where is suggested to purchase? I see that the price here is about what the price is on Amazon, though I don't really understand the "make an offer" above the sales price here??? Thanks for any advice you can pass my way.

Congratulations on your decision to buy a welder. I, too, suggest that you give Oleg in sales a call.

"Make an offer" is similar to the Ebay feature that allows you to bargain with the seller: you can offer a different price to see if the seller finds it acceptable, and close the deal. I've never used it but it would at least open the door to a dialogue with someone in Sales at Everlast. Not sure who makes the decision about accepting or rejecting the Make An Offer proposals. As Travis and Mr120 suggest you can deal with Oleg (CEO of Everlast) directly- via phone (650 588 8082 / 877 755 WELD), or via PM from this forum (his screen name is Oleg), or via email (oleg@everlastwelders.com). Everlast is in San Francisco, so your timezone may be different.

Which machine are you thinking of?

Thanks for all the help guys! I'm thinking of getting a little 140st to do some very light tig work indoors this winter. I think from what I have read it will do a very fine job for the smaller projects I have in mind. I have the components for a down draft table almost put together. Commercial stainless steel oven range hood upside down with stretch for a work surface. It has 3 sides of SS and it will have a rheostat to fine tune fan speed so it doesn't suck all the argon away. Kind of a work in progress right now. I will give Oleg a shout this week and pick his brain a little to see if this model is indeed up to the tasks I have in mind for it. Thanks again, Bill

    Bill,
That's what I can do for you. You can give me a call if you like. I can make as good of price as anyone. But I also can better address the application issues/questions better as well.

I will give you a call when I make my final decision. I don't really have a problem with the price listed here. Just didn't understand what the wording was all about and didn't know if you guys like direct orders or would rather have people use the net to order. Easier to ask questions now rather than be surprised later!
