Thread: A81 long tips and electrodes

  1. Default A81 long tips and electrodes

I just replaced my burned up cup on my A81 torch, I was thinking about trying the long electrodes and tips hoping they would keep the heat and sparks away from the cup, and most of all give a better view while cutting. Has anybody tried them? Does Everlast sell them?

Riverweld has the cheap ones. I want to start with the Trafimet brand tips, I think the tip, electrode and diffuser is needed to convert. The Trafimet pics show a ceramic tig like cup available that will slip onto the end of the plasma cap for added protection too. Not sure if that has to be used or not for the plasma to operate correctly.
