    Default New guy from Kansas

Hi all, new guy here from Kansas. I'm currently looking for a new tig machine and thought I'd stop in here to check things out. I'm a full time firefighter with a welding/fabrication business on the side. I hope to pick up some information here and can maybe pass along some of my knowledge as well.

Welcome to the forum Chris, and good luck in your search for a TIG welder. Everlast has some really nice TIG units. My first Everlast TIG has been such a pleasure to use that I'm looking to upgrade to another Everlast unit with more options/higher amps.

    Thanks, youngnstudly and everlastsupport.

Travis, I get up that way every now and then.

I have 480 3 phase with a step down to 208/110 single phase. I'm working on replacing that transformer with a 240/120 single phase. I do everything from ornamental ironwork to heavy equipment repair. Stainless, mild steel and aluminum are mainly all I do, but every now and then a cast iron or cast aluminum piece will come through the door. I have looked at the 250ex and 315lx models and am going from there.

The Digital 325 EXT is available in 480. The 315LX is available special order in 480V 3 phase. The PowerMTS 400 is equipped with 240V 1 phase/480V 3 phase switch.
