It's a Thanksgiving miracle! A new website and it's not even Christmas yet.

It would be nice to have a darker option... white's hard on my eyes with a large screen.

I agree the extreme contrast is a bit over the top. With quotes and such still in green, there is no one brightness setting that covers everything. If it was all light or all dark you can tweak it to your brightness preference, but this way the eye has to constantly adjust and that makes for sore eyes.

This is not the new skin. I just recall how some did not like all the green and turned off a little of it until the new skinning is done. New site and skin is coming soon. I became busy and did not have time to convert the quotes to a lighter color, also did not recall the style template variable name. If someone has the variable I will flip it for now until the new skinning is done. Somewhere I know I have a vbulletin how to, just ran out of time.

You could go through and tweak everything but it might just be a lot easier to get a nice pre-built skin or two to populate things. There are so many out there that have been polished to work well at many resolutions and color depths. Why reinvent the wheel? I bet Zoama would like this one from VB styles, and it still has a nice touch of green, to go with the branding.

Maybe something like that plus add a light colored version and then users can pick the one they like in their settings.
