New CK Torch For 225LX

Okay, called Ben at Weld Fabulous to get help on a new torch. I ended up getting a CK 200 With superlex lines (CK225SF FX). My Machine is a 225LX with the WC-300 cooler. I havent received the new torch kit yet but here are some things to save some delays/heartaches:

1. When you have a water cooler (WC-300), ask for male quick disconnects on both Shielding Gas and Cooler line on your torch connectors (have them install 2/Part no. C-2564) on your choice of torch (only one C-2564 if aircooled).

2. Get the Dense connector CKSLWHAT-35QD. This too is for a water cooler equipped machine it is a new(er) configuration and not listed on anyone's site, not even CKs.

3. If you order CK stuff from Weld Fabulous, CK will ship quickly and use 2 day UPS to get it to you (With no upcharge). very nice if you're on the east coast and need something "Poste Haste", just don't let your service writer drag his feet on placing the order with CK.

4. If you want to deal with a company that knows their Sh|t, is TOP NOTCH in customer service, and will bend over backwards to help, call CK.

5. If you want to deal with someone from CK by name for tech questions ask for PAUL. He epitomizes bullet no. 4.

I don't work for WF or CK just in case someone goes there, but I wouldn't mind working for CK!

Or you can call Everlast sales and get the same thing because CK drop ships for any dealer selling a torch package... Everlast knows exactly what their machines need.

Uh yeah, but they sometimes have a difficult time conveying it (sometimes). Everlast could fix a ton of woes by making a comprehensive website showing what is needed to utilize certain upgrades, but they haven't. Click the machine click accessories then upgrades (with pictures) showing what fits whether in stock or not or requiring special order...

We were trying for that, but it seems the web people are too far in over their heads. Supposedly they have designed this huge site for Californian Celebrity Chef, but can't do this or that at every turn. We're going to have it, but not all features will be functional when the website finally lands,and final development will be completed by another company that "can".

Hey guys, Mark, Mike, Katja, Alex and Oleg have ALWAYS been helpful in anwering my questions, always! My intent here is to point out that an outside company that happens to be affiliated with Everlast is awesome (not that you guys aren't). I also wanted to point out how not to make the same mistakes I did (and here's how). There are companies out there who are recognizing not everyone wants or can afford to buy something sold by the industry giants! One of these companies is CK, and I applaud them!!! On the other hand WB didn't impress me with price and/or service.
