Thread: Argon leak inside My new Everylast 205S

  1. Default Argon leak inside My new Everylast 205S

Had my new Everylast 205S for a week and have been welding with it just fine. What I have noticed is a continues 5 CFH flow at my flow meter, even when not welding. I can pinch the hose to the welder and the flow stops, so I know the leak in not at the regulator. The connection at the bottom of the welder also is not leaking. Anybody have this problem before.

See if you can hear the gas flow at the torch. If you can, the solenoid is not sealing and might need to be cleaned or replaced. If not, you might just have a loose hose connection inside, that can be snugged up.

Ok called everlast support. They said it would be okay to open it up and look around for a leak. Did so and found the connection to the gauge in front loose, they use the quick connectors on the holes and it was not pushed in far enough. Tested and all okay now.

Love this welder, it is my first TIG welder.

Glad to hear it was an easy fix. Sometimes things get bumped loose in shipping, as well. Have fun.
