Thread: new 2013 I-tig 200T

  1. Default new 2013 I-tig 200T

First post, first Tig machine, First Everlast purchase....AMAZING!!

i had been debating buying a tig welder for a few weeks. liked the older 200 itig but wanted pedal control with max amps set at machine. i believe the older 200 foot pedal use was max amps only. could be wrong on that.

wanted to purchase via amazon due to asking for giftcard at the holidays, but opted to purchase direct from Oleg. sent a few emails at first and a few calls later i had a machine and the optional pedal being shipped.

welder was delivered and was super excited to get it opened and setup.

opened box...packaging was very neat and tidy (no unboxing photos) but it should make it through UPS no problem.

This machine is a 220v only. it has a 50 amp plug. i made my extension cord to match. and started setting it up.

my only mishap was the torch collets would noy hold my 1/16" tungstens i purchased. i did some slight modifications to make it work.

Customer service- great. i am the non manual reading type, and had a prolem with the pedal fucntions. they replied super fast with an answer....PUT YOUR STARTING AMPS, UP AND DOWN SLOPE, AND ENDING AMPS TO LOWEST POSSIBLE!!!....ooopsy.

Machine its self- awesome. its very compact and light weight. smaller and lighter than my lincoln 140c by far. fan noise is average, but who really cares about that. arc start on HF works perfect. stable tight arc. functions on machine are great also. easy to change amps with the double action dial. easy to save setting(would like to have an up and down arrow for selection).

Included torch/consumables- I got the black torch with the clicker switch ziptied on, not the blue one. comments on it would be the hose is slightly stiff at first, seems to have loosened up near the torch end. and the dinse connector with the gas line is oriented down when installed. this could be user error, but makes it difficult to lay flat with the air line like it is. the consumables included are well packaged and a great thing to have in there with a new machine purchase.

Overall- very pleased with machine and everlast the company. i am a hobby type user and couldnt be happier with this purchase. If you are considering it, you will not be disappointed with the features offered at its price point.
