Thread: Hola

  1. Default Hola

Finally stepped up and got me an ac/dc tig. It was the only thing my shop was lacking. Couldn't get by anymore with just a spool gun on my blue welder to weld aluminum. I haven't tig welded since my 1984 college welding class. I know a lot has changed since then but hopefully I can pick it back up fairly quickly.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the new machine purchase. I can't imagine having gone that long without TIG welding though! After I learned to TIG in college, I felt like something was missing once I lost access to a TIG machine! That was probably the longest 3 years of my life (haha). One thing's for sure though, that new machine of yours is nothing like the last TIG welder you used...It's MUCH better! A lot has changed in 30 years.
