Thread: 210 ext vs. 250 ex

  1. Default 210 ext vs. 250 ex

I recently just purchased the new power tig 210 EXT thinking that it would be the best band for the buck but since I have made the purchase I'm not sure of I selected the right machine that would be better for me. It was a debate between the 210 ext and the 250 ex. If I'm building stainless steel exhaust systems and aluminum intercooler setups what would be the best machine for me?

Also is it possible to exchange a CK20 torch with the WP26 that comes with the machine?

I've used both machines for some time. The 250EX has more power. I like the 210EXT start better. They both will do the job for you. I like the 250EX as I can see the knobs at a glance. I have a 255EXT and the only complaint is the digital display (can see all the knobs/settings), but everything is going that way it seems.

On the torch, call Oleg. You can get CK torches for our machines. I would imagine we stock them by now. Zoama has also made a parts list a few times so you can make your own.

I have used the 250EX and it welds stainless and aluminum very well I have not done a lot of welding with the 210EXT except at Everlast Canada and it work very well but I got the 255EXT and like it also the 255EXT I like is the switching around from AC or DC just by setting the memory to each type of welding then us find the memory number you like and weld it switch all automatically to AC or DC, pules or not and you can use easy set up AC or DC it is nice also. I have not tried the 210EXT in the hidden options section but maybe next time I go to Everlast Canada. Good luck with the new 210EXT.
