I have the MTS250S the Synergic multi-process machine will over ride the setting trying to make up for the changes in the welding, as you lift and make the arc larger or smaller it will put out more power or less power the volts will change and the amps also. When I weld with mine, my son said the amps and volts move up and down but I don't notice the change when I am welding it moves around a lot when I am Mig welding but the welds are very nice I set the volts and amps to what I need to get it working the machine dose the rest my son said when I Mig weld the volt and amps go a lot higher and lower then I set them to.
