Hi Everyone,
I have been thinking of getting a PA200 for some jobs I need to do, however I might need longer leads, is there any problem with using longer (around 25 feet) leads on this welder?
Thanks!

I use longer leads on my PA200. You can use as long as you want, just make sure they are rated for the amperage. The longer the lead, the thicker it needs to be. Here's a calculator for ya: http://www.directwireusa.com/What-We...le-Size-Chart/
I suppose the only issue is how far will you have to walk to adjust your machine
No problem if you use the right size of cable,,,the only thing that will bother you is the price tag...best not look at that,, it will hurt you,,,you may find the cables are almost the same cost as the welder...I luv my PA 200...I have 25+ feet and that seems to do it.
Some of those lies people tell about me, are true
First welcome to thge forum jchaverri.
I agree ext is cheeper unless you make one like I did 100 ft. 6 gauge.

Thank you all for your responses. I totally agree on the price, I already have the cables from a welder I bought used, however this was a transformer based machine and I wasn't sure if extending the leads on inverters might cause issues.
The main reason I was wondering about the longer leads is because I will be welding at a certain height and I'm worried about the welder falling down
I've run 200' of 2/0 leads on my Maxstar 200....
Never noticed a thing....
