Another crazy idea here…

I find myself moving between my 210EXT and a Lincoln 225 often - I'd like to use my CK torch on both, without changing the QD fitting. The 210EXT uses a separate gas connector at the welder, while the Lincoln uses a gas-thru fitting.

I'm wondering if anyone's converted the DINSE outlet on their welder to gas-thru, and what issues might emerge. What happens when a stick is is connected to the same DINSE? Is a gas-thru DINSE longer to push the coupler open?

ASSuming there's enough room in the case, it'd seem to require changing out the DINSE fitting and moving the gas connection to it. Is there a good source for the fitting?

Plan B would be to hack together an external adapter to do the same. CK has a power hose extender that could do it, but it's 12' long.

Cheers,
Richard
