Sorry, struggled with the Posting Pic routine. Built an Over the Fender Gun Box. It holds 4 guns and a case of shotgun shells. We painted it Black. The Tool Box on the Front of the Trailer wasn't painted. All of these were welded with the Everlast 200 DX with the original Torch and Foot Pedal.
The Dog Box has paddle latches on each door, but the picture doesn't show the doors. They open inward to the Center of the Polaris so you don't have to reach in and open the door. Can't find the Pictures of the Latches on the Dog box but you can see them on the Fender Box. You can also see the Dog Box sitting in the rear of my friends Polaris. Plenty of holes drilled for ventilation.
A few things I learned; don't be afraid to start the puddle hot and fast....slow doesn't work for me. Tack weld a lot to reduce warping. There's over 15' of linear edge welding in each Project....I wanted the welds to look good and similar....take your time......its hard to keep everything positioned comfortably, but its something I struggled with. Also, I had to learn to "feed the rod" and learned to ease off the foot pedal so I could change filler rods. It took a while, was very frustrating learning but when I took my time, sat down and practiced everything was easier.
The welder is great. Frequency was very helpful in focusing the arc...or decreasing it so I could weld on a Lap Joint or Corner weld at maybe 60-90. But the edge welds worked great at 120. The machine/projects did not require Pulsing. I practice with it and use it to get my rythm and can't wait to do a Project using the Pulse Feature.
I use all of this stuff and had never welded Aluminum. So, if any of you guy's have the machine and just don't think your Projects are achievable, think again. If I can do it...anyone can.
