    Default Newbie from Michigan!...Greetings :)

Its been many years since ive tigged.
Been wanting one for the last many yrs......and recently started looking at the investment.
Local welding shop sells Red and Blue.
After some Qs to me and what i wanted to do....he highly recommended the Blue......i was Sold!....just not on the $$$$.00
OMG... guy almost had to pick me up off the floor (hving a near stroke)

Soon after, dreams, flashes and constant staring at nothing, posed thots of owning my very own 200DX tig.
Ebay and CL revealed little if anything tht was in my price range.....they do hold their value Very well.

After a month or better of research and more forums reading, the Big picture started to be more clear.......Blue was not in my near future
As this is more of a hobby than necessity.... other avenues must be chosen.

More research and forums reading revealed other Colors to me.
Little did i know, but as i remember, Green was my Favorite color as a kid...for many yrs. (Blue is now, as my toolbox etc are all blue)

Anyways, long story short.....Green has surfaced once again....in the form of the NEW 210EXT.

Needless to say, im excited bout it.

Thnx Everlast, for the most helpful information and willingness to answer all my Qs.
Alex in the sales dept knows his stuff....and has continued to impress me with his knowledge of your products.
I expect (and from what i read) the customer service and support will be just as good....altho hopefully not hving to deal w them for a long while

    Hi Dave....thnx for the compliment.

im an auto tech by trade....so im often making/modifying new tools to do my job easier/faster. sockets, wrenches etc.
low heat, high strength and minimal filler often entails......hence, TIG
(wish i knew someone to walk me > the patent process and do all the Red tape....oh well)

i also have a '74 aluminum trailer (tht i Luv) with some original welds cracked. i also want to add some material in critical pts to strengthen it up for my sled.
....as 2days sleds weigh almost twice what they used to in '74.

BTW, Yellow is my fave color in sleds.....lol......05 REV SDI

    Welcome Marti,

Sure TIG will come back to you fast, also, new technology in the welders will help you too. Things have gotten better. Glad you found green. That would stand out in the snow as good as yellow. hahaha..

All of our units weld well, a little seat time and you will love it. There are a number of videos by Jody Collier of weldingtipsandtricks.com. Search for TIG and you can start watching until the welder gets to you. You will be jonesing for it in no time.

Careful what you say on the cats, sure we have some fans on here somewhere hahahaha..

The only good snowmobile is someone else's . I owned 2 at one time. They were like a trash can for money. The really bad part is you can only use them for a couple months a year. I live in the north woods of Wisconsin too.

I've always made it a point to ride someone else's sled.
Reminds me of having a boat, or as I like to say, a hole in the water you pour money into. The two best days of owning a boat, the day you buy it and the day you sell it!

Here is South Florida we are not up on the sleds. Also, only 2 months of the year, that's no good.

Did not know they were as bad as a boat. Boat here is Break Out Another Thousand...

    Welcome to the forum Marti.
You can get some good deals on the red and blue machines at HGR industrial supply.
You may have some used machine dealers near you.

What if he buys a yellow and a blue machine? Doesn't that make green?

With the right ratios... Might hit the color. And he will spend a LOT more. Blue alone will kill him and his point in this thread, now a yellow one. Ouch!

Buying green will certainly leave a lot more green in the wallet.

Welcome to the family! Thanksgiving is at your place this year!

I'm with ya on checking the mailbox. With me it was clicking the delivery link to see if somehow the shipment got routed onto an express delivery truck, direct to my house, bypassing all that tedious distance between here and San Francisco.

    Congrats on the new machine!
