Thread: confused about 200DV and 200DX dual voltage

Question confused about 200DV and 200DX dual voltage

I'm looking at this item on Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/Everlast-Power...dp/B00BIP6CYE/

In all but name, it appears to be very similar to the 200DV from the Everlast site:

    http://www.everlastgenerators.com/pr...powertig-200dv

So, if I go on Amazon and buy the "dual voltage 200DX" there, which welder am I going to get? Is that really the DV, but they just haven't changed the label yet? Is it a slightly different model?

What I really want to buy is the latest model 200DV.

Most likely Amazon just used the wrong picture. If there's any doubt you might also order from the SF office, or from Mark (screen name Performance) here on this board.

Welcome to the forums! I'm with you, the dual voltage capability is cool- adds a whole new dimension to portability.

Same unit. I don't know why they keep putting it up like that.

So the one on Amazon is actually the DV? Would I get the manual for the DV with it, and everything? That would be cool.

If I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, is there a place where I could just drive to and pick it up?

    This link has contact info:
    http://www.everlastgenerators.com/sales

In a post here the other day somebody mentioned they went to the South San Francisco office to look at a machine, so it sounds like they get visitors. I'd call first to make sure, but it makes sense to me that they wouldn't mind a pickup.

The manual is the same. The only difference is the input specs and the location of the gas outlet.
