    until i bought my PP164 a month ago, the only welder I ever owned was a Linccoln AC225 buzz box.
    Today I welded a rusty old bracket onto a wheel using the stick feature on the PP164.
    WOW what a difference using DC instead of AC. It was actually fun.
    Now I gotta go find some more broken junk to weld

    John t,

    I just bought a powerarc 200st and you are correct dc welding is the way to go.
    I noticed your signature, Shalom do you know Hebrew ?

    Welcome to the forum Tom.
    My PA 200 is going on three years old and still going strong.

    I did a little welding with mine today, all I can say is smooth. I hope mine we continue to give me years of service.

    my hebrew is limited to about 1st grade level.
