My First Project

Hi all. Let me start by saying I Never took a Metal working or Welding class before. I did have a woodworking class. And a Diploma from the county Vocational for Auto Mechanics.

My Project is an adapter to use my Motorcycle jack to lift the front end of a JD lawn tractor. By grabbing the frame. So the tires are free for service work. Its not complete yet. Still need to weld the legs to the base. Grind, Sand. And thinking about painting with JD Green.

I am using 1/4" Steel plate for the Base and "Saddle" 16 Gauge Sq. Tube for the Legs and supports.
