Thread: IPT 60 Plasma Torch and Cutting/Welding Sandals

  1. Default IPT 60 Plasma Torch and Cutting/Welding Sandals

Bought the pp205s with deluxe accessories kit and it came with a IPT 60 plasma torch and matching welding/cutting sandals.

I've looked on the website and can't find this torch or consumables. Looks like the trafimet s45 are compatible.

Anyone else have this torch? Will the trafimet consumables work on this?

Like the finger guard on it. Have not used the trafimet but this one is easy to use with gloves

Anyone else have the matching sandals?

Just kidding on the sandals. I was wearing these while unboxing my new welder and didn't notice my sandals matched and my 5 year old noticed the colors matched and says "Daddy, I like your new welding sandals".

The torch consumables will retrofit if you replace cup too. We are building our supply of the new consumables, and aren't on the website yet. But will be adding them soon. You can call in though to order them. They are available too from several sources online. HTP, welding direct, and a few others. The difference is what they call the "back striking" design of the consumables where the arc fires off at the rear of the consumable instead of the tip. A special shoulder is manufactured on the new torches consumable and the arc fires there first. Then the arc is transferred down to the tip. It does this to increase reliability of arc starts and improve consumable life.
