a few problems?

Hi guys I'm having a few issues with my 230ex (Aust) Where I have the pulse turned off and after a few welds its starting to pulse ( numbers are going up and down)? Once I reset the switch to the off pozzie its stops? Also I'm getting small zaps though the handle sometimes when I'm welding. Is this normal?

High Frequency current during starts can leak through some cables and torch parts, especially if they are dirty. Also if your gloves have soaked up sweat, that provides a good path for HF. Each person has different perceptions of feeling that, too. Some notice small leaks much more than others. Check to make sure everything is clean and dry. You can wash the handle and torch body with alcohol, or soap and water, but avoid stronger solvents.
Not sure about the pulsing, maybe someone else can point you in the right direction of what can cause that.

cheers for that I'll give cleaning the torch a go, also I 've got some 2.4mm tungsten and rods and cant get an arc started just little zapping noises and current between torch and surface??

That sounds like a bad ground. HF will jump the gap even without a good ground, but the main arc will not transfer.
