New Everlast TIG 210 EXT single control knob, 115/220 V

I have a new Everlast TIG 210 EXT with a single control knob. Apparently the manual is not out yet as I don't have one. Does anyone else have this unit or can give me some suggestions/advice on setting up to do thin sheetmetal (16 Ga.)? The unit came with two torches, foot pedal, regulator, 110 V plug adapter, 220 V cord/plug. I have stick & MIG experience, but completely new to TIG,so any advice is appreciated.

One of the many online calculators will give you some basic starting points.

Rule of thumb is 1 amp per .001" of metal thickness. Minimal preflow, and about 1 sec of postflow per 10 amps. Size your tungsten based on the welding amps. Use a foot pedal if you can, as you will be able to sneak up on the best settings for your travel speed and position and can adjust on the fly.

The manual is 90% completed but we are having difficulty (from what the office says) in scheduling a photo shoot for the unit and is missing some key pictures. Otherwise it is serviceable. PM me and I'll send you what is completed.

In the meantime, you might consider learning / practicing on heavier material, just to get into the groove.

I have been using this same machine since april and have got it figured out use the 1 amp per thousanths material thickness as max setting and modulate as needed with the pedal, I also use 2% lanth tungsten for everything including aluminum, on ac set the balance to about 32 and adjust from there to get your desired result, seat time is what you need most.
