Hi. My name is jose. Just ordered the power arc 140st. Any feed back on this welder is appreciated. Projects, techniques, what metal thickness I can weld with, etc.

Hey José. I love mine. It's extremely small and light and has a super smooth arc. I use it mostly for TIG but will also do stick from time to time. Metal thickness is pretty much unlimited as long as you do the right prep and multipass welds. For single pass I would say 3/16" thick for a butt weld, a little more for a filet.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!

Thanks for the info Rambozo what style torch are you using. I wanted to change the one that comes with it. Are you using an everlast torch or another brand?

I am using the torch that came with it. I was expecting that giant blue monster, but was pleasantly surprised to get a nice round handle 17V series. I added a stubby kit that uses the 9/20 cups, and a remote finger amptroller, and am quite happy with it. It does get a little hot with constant use, but that is a good reminder for me to remember to observe the duty cycle on this machine. Here you can see the difference between the stock parts and the stubby front end.

Alright cool. Yeah that torch looks a lot better than the big blue monster. Lol. Hopefully mine is sent with that same one that came with yours.
