Ok so after having my cnc set up for a little over a year ive decided to go ahead and buy the TM AVHC. i am upgrading from a 2x2 to a 4x4 table in the next 2 months so my controller wiring/ positioning is just temporary but all my connections are good.
So i went ahead and set up my pierce height, cut height, and all other settings for the 10g steel i was about to do a line speed test on. i had the plasma cutter set at 40 amps and the speeds went from 40-130 IPM. i did the line speed test in manual mode ( so the torch stays in the cut height that was set and doesnt make changes to warped plate ) which is what is required for this simple test. everything went pretty good.
Moving on to the Voltage Test is where im having my issues. when i did my voltage test my Current Voltage reading on my AVHC Controller was only reading 20-24V. i tried changing amperage, cut speed, and cut height with no difference. so then i decide to try and cut a small browning logo in Automatic mode and after about 2 seconds of cutting the torch starts retracting, i believe its looking for more voltage and thats why its doing that, hense the very small Voltage reading on the control box.
i cant seem to figure out why im getting such an unrealistic number on my Current Voltage reading. My AVHC Controller will not let me Set my voltage any lower than 50V which is what i presume the bare minimum that the Plasma Cutter should be.
Please Help!
