Default Can you run a suitcase feeder off of a MTS 250S?

Just wandering if anyone has tried or knows if I can run a suitcase feeder off of a mts 250s? I have a miller 8vs that I would like to run off of one more or less to just have two machines setup so I don't have to switch wire types back and forth. I guess I should say that I want to run it on CV and not CC as well.

Would for sure not be a plug and play situation and I think you can forget about the synergic functions. However, you can probably make it function in manual mode. You would have to be willing to do a lot of testing between different units, and might have to build a custom interface between the two machines to level shift control voltages, etc. It's more one of those things that if you have to ask, the answer is probably no.

Look at the MTS 400. It will likely fit your needs.

I know the Mts 400 would work little to no modification but I'm hoping to get the Mts 250in a couple months so I can have a portable unit that doesn't require my trailblazer for working in buildings and restaurants. Also the 400 is a bit over my budget now right now. Those darn children never seem to stop growing and they always want more food and clothes. I was just hoping there was some simple and easy way to power the feeder that I wasn't seeing. Thanks for the input guys! Guess I'll just have to use the Mts 250 the way it was designed.

For a portable unit, why would you not just use the internal feeder and not use the suitcase feeder at all? One less thing to carry.

The mts 400 would be nearly as portable and the feeder can operate up to 75 feet away from the power source. It can run on single phase 220 as well.

I was just thinking for when I'm in the shop and the feeder was sitting there with the correct spool of wire in it I wouldn't have to switch it out. When I get the Mts 250 I will just use the Internet feeder for sure. I'll use it in an area that has power available to me otherwise I'll use my trailblazer and I have 300ft of cable to get me to most any job I've come across so far. It was just a question of would it work effectively and not damage the feeder or the power unit so I could be lazy and not swap spools. You know how it goes. Try to save time where you can.

    The website quotes.
•The MTS 400 is capable of powering the M 600 wire feeder (included) up to 175 feet away so only the wire feeder needs to be carried into position.
