Tiedown points
Made a couple of tiedown points for a Kubota L3200. Pretty much a copy of a style that some company made before they went out of business. Nothing special, but will do the job. One small snag was that I measured the bolt spacing at night and only checked the one side where I could kinda see. Turns out the spacing is different on each side, so I had to make another plate with the correct spacing. Something about measure twice, cut five times and it's still too short? Doh!
Oh well, came out ok in the end, and I no longer have to worry about where the chains are being attached. Glued them up with 7014. I added some anchor shackles, for tie downs, in the back a long time ago, but hadn't done anything up front. Rounded it out with new transport chain and screw type binders. Slowly retrofitting all the trailers with this type of system. The binders are attached to the trailer D rings with anchor shackles, so they stay attached and hopefully don't get lost or damaged quite as fast.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!
