Surge amps

Hello from Rives Mo. New member first post looking forward to the knowledge this board has to offer
Just purchased a 2015 250EX. I am reading the manual to get familiar with the machines controls and have came across the stick surge amp control. My machine does not have this knob all I have is arc force. Is this something everlast decided not to put on the new machine. The book says surge amps available late 2013. Just wondering why my machine does not have it.
