Default Is my Auto Darkening working right?

Hi all. I have a Hobart Auto Darkening helmet. Its been doing something weird lately. When I am welding, Sometimes it goes so dark you can barely see the Arc. Other times, I am done welding, The lenses stays dark. Until I press the Reset button. This is a good minute or so after I am done. Delay is not set long. Whatever the default arrow is pointing to. Had to turn the shade to #9. Was on #10. Sometimes it flashes. The low battery light has not come on. I am wondering if I should contact Hobart and see about a Warranty repair. But I need it for work.

    Thanks

What type of welding? Have you changed anything since it was working? Are you inside (no Sun)? Maybe go swap it is under warranty and bought local I would swap the battery just for grins too.

Hi Mike. Indoor Mig. Using an Airco 300. Maybe it just needs a battery. Bought it about a year ago. Northern Tools Maybe?? I want to get one to use at work. I didn't change any settings till it started happening.

I am still building the hook Lifts. Sometimes They have me cut or weld parts together for future units.

If for work I would get a good helmet since it will be on and off. But note to nice in case it walks away. I have 4 brands of helmets, 6+ and all about the same, the Miller stands out a little over the others. Let us know on the battery.
