A Dumb Question About the PT210EXT

While waiting for my PT210EXT to arrive (tomorrow!), I've read through the manual, and noticed what appears to be a discrepancy. The specifications indicate that the welder has Advanced Square, Soft Square, and Sawtooth (triangular) waveforms. The manual, however, in discussing the waveforms also includes the Sine waveform.

Is this just because the 210EXT is almost the same as the 255EXT, and they used the same language in the manual? Or do the new 210EXT's now have sine wave capability?

Probably just a little overzealous cut and paste when writing the manual. However, there are always updates in the pipeline, so I guess you will have to see what you get. Based on the photos of the current front panel, it looks like just the three waveforms.

That was my guess, too, but I guess I'll find out soon, one way or the other.

Yep that is what it was Rambozo. Recycle as much material as possible as long as it is relevant. Sometimes I miss one or two because you go blind after a while reading these things and don't notice them especially after a 2 or 3 weeks (or more) working on one...even though you read through it a half dozen times or more to check. My guys that proof read at Everlast don't always check as closely as they should... The older 210EXT featured a sine wave, but because of the utility of the triangular wave, we deleted the sine in lieu of the Triangular.

I'm working on a few now for the upcoming model updates.
