There is no way you can weld a soda can with this welder the arc to to unstable at the low amps or is a problem with the machine

Have you tried a new bottle of argon? As you can see from this thread, that fixed Steve's problem.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!

I have read the RTM over and over i started welding at night but not last night but this is my first CHINESE WELDER . Operator error can not cause the arc to wonder and flutter and not start then blast like a blow torch then let off the pedal then the arc is barely there and its only on AC don't matter what the amps are the ARC SUCKS.

EDIT: Just noticed you had a separate thread already.

Maybe start a new thread and list the settings and materials, etc, like the OP. This thread it wandering and he clearly said it was bad argon (sometime when tanks get low I notice this even on what was a good tank).

Also, are you sure the other welders you have used have no Chinese parts or labor in them?

ive also had bad argon tanks to...happens when people empty the tank all the way...should never do that and also people leave the valve open on the tank when they return it...that will contaminate the tank.

I tried a new tank of argon and it does the same thing there's no way my welder will even come close to welding that it would blow a 1" hole in the can. The problem is when the arc starts it just go tick tick tick like a stove trying to light the burner and wonders all over the place .and if you go with the preset ac mode dose the same thing then you let off the pedal and the arc will not shut off unless you remove the torch from the work piece i have the SSC pedal and it dosen't make a difference tried it with the supplied pedal same thing . there has to be something wrong with the circuit board or arc start board. Nice weld on those cans. I have tried all the settings on the welder different HZ and different cleaning settings and it dose the same thing no difference. Its getting frustrating it has done this sense i got it 3 weeks ago. love how it welds on DC but AC is horrible at low amps and at start up. I also watch Jody from tips and tricks do his thing on welding it just has to be something in side the circuit board of the welder i will bet money on it. Also talked with Alex today at everlast he is aware of the problem waiting on a call from Ray to see what he has to say. Hope to get this resolved because its a good company to deal with and like the welder.

Are you in pedal mode or pedal 2T? Also in your other post on the other thread, you mentioned a standoff that is way to low for that amps start/weld range. You should have 1/16" or less standoff for starting at low amperage. 5 amps is not easy to weld with to begin with and it takes exceptional control of your environment to be able to do it.
