Thread: 250ex problems

  1. Default 250ex problems

So finally got a chance yesterday to fire up the machine and start a little job. Well I didn't get far at all. I fire the machine up and the display basically reads 888, it will fluctuate up and down a few numbers. But changing settings does nothing. It won't strike an arch or really do anything. Has anyone seen this problem? It's brand new, unfortunately I've had it just over 30 days. Tech gave me a rma. That's all they had to say. Very bummed as I was excited to use it and this now delays a project I wanted to start/finish.

You can remove the rear cover and the metal cover, and check your connections. Unplug them and reseat them. It won't hurt anything, providing you unplug your unit first for 15 minutes before starting work.

Exactly when did you purchase it?

Any and all, particularly leading from the display board.

Same thing happened to my brand new 250 ex. I had it for about two weeks and display started displaying showing random numbers and the welder ceased to function. I ended up getting rid of the welder and moved on to another brand.

Hope Everlast service can help you.
