Well, the trusty old Everlast has let me down. I saw there was another thread about this but wanted to start a new one as I am not sure they are the same problem and I am not a EE. I have a 2010 Power Pro 256S that I received as a gift of sorts and has worked fine, up until now. I was welding an .050 alum fuel tank and was about done when the amperage suddenly spiked to 257 (around there anyway) and will not come down no matter what I have tried. I was running high speed pulse and using a foot pedal at the time. I do not have a snap start, just pedal, and everything is factory. While the machine will welds it is like it is set on 4T as when I first push the pedal it is a high amperage but when I let off it spikes for maybe half a second give or take and shuts off. Is there anything I can try or look at before I write the machine off? Any help would be appreciated!
