I checked email this morning, and received a "listed in error / out of stock" message from that website, your order cancelled, credit card not charged. Oh well!

Looks like tooltopia.com and amazon.com are a good thing.

I would never buy from finditparts.com if they did not honor their mistake or send a personal "we screwed up email". Sure they had a lot of traffic over it, but it gain nothing for them. One less customer for sure.

Not to hijack the post... I've heard of some cases where an airline clearly made a pricing mistake and still honored the fare. I could raise a stink, since we had a contract (offer and acceptance, and subsequent written acknowledgement) but that would cost me more in time and energy than just paying full retail for it.

One less customer, agreed. Not only for lost goodwill, but also because of their shipping charges and a shipping and a handling fee tacked onto each order.
