  1. Default Is There Really an "Easy Start Mode" on a 210EXT?

    Yeah,

I guess this is mostly a question for Mark, who I believe does most of the PDF manuals, which are generally quite good.

But I was always a little puzzled about a purported "Easy Start" mode listed in the manual at Section 3. I mean, I actually didn't like the idea of an Easy Start Mode for AC and DC, as it seemed like it would become an extraneous function almost immediately after using the machine. But I was sometimes curious, during my initial use of the digital unit, if it was covertly being invoked without me really knowing, as there is no indication of this mode on the display panel, and it took me a little while to finally settle on some settings that give me the best arc performance that I was looking for with aluminum, which was a new metal for me.

Anyway, I recently saw a portion of a YouTube video with the 255EXT panel being shown, which actually did have a small segregated dialog area and touch pad for the Easy Mode, on the front panel for AC, DC, and Stick, I think it was.

So, I'm guessing that the 201EXT does not have an Easy Start mode, which I'm actually happy about, as I'd never use it and, again, wouldn't want it to be invoked without me realizing it, i.e., it's simpler without it.

But, I'd like to get an official confirmation from a Everlast staff member on the point, just to make sure that none of the 9 memory settings have some automatic or easy-style tendency which negates my input.

Otherwise, I'm really diggin' the 210EXT and its arc performance on aluminum.

    Peace to you all,

A little overzealous with the cut and paste, while writing up all the different new manuals.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!

    Hey,

    Thanks for that feedback, gentlemen.

I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't hallucinating in not seeing something that might be there. Ha, ha, ha... Or maybe I was wondering if the earlier version of the 210EXT had the Easy Start modes, but not my later 2015 edition.

So, I'm glad to know that it doesn't!

Peace to you all during the holiday season, and beyond!
