Thanks for the update. But I don't Everlast was being "fair". I think they were being more than fair, don't you?.

I suppose a take-away from this might be for someone on an island in the middle Pacific Ocean who welds, is to have another back-up welder available, even if it's a cheap one, or know someone you can borrow one from for times like this, i.e., a bit of redundancy can help you be anti-fragile.
