  1. Default Just bought a 211si need to know what outlet and breaker needed

Hey guys just ordered a 211si and I want to get an electriation out prior to getting the welder so I can start using as soon as I can haha

So does anyone know what breaker and outlet I need for the 240?

    Thank you

Welcome, and congrats on the new machine!

Hate to break it to ya like this: your best bet is to download your manual and read about input requirements.

Didn't mean to sound abrupt. If you'll go to this link

    http://www.everlastgenerators.com/pr...si-tig-package

and press the green button labeled Tech Specs you'll find input voltage.

What do you have planned for welding projects?

You can also use a 120v outlet to start practicing until your get the 240v wired up. Good luck!

Oh no I didn't taking it as abrupt at all lol but thank you for the link I went directly there but I'm still not sure on outlet I'll wait I'll it gets here and do exactly like mts211si suggests and just play with it

It has a surge of 33 amps. I would use a 50 amp receptical and use a 40 amp or 50amp breaker. This would allow you to use almost any single phase welder or plasma cutter on the circuit in the future.

Little late here, but I would drop in a 50 amp breaker. So when you want a BIG TIG or Plasma you are set. Or bigger MIG one day. Unless there is a major cost difference.

Work with your inductance to smooth out that spatter.

    Thanks guys

Performance when you're referring to inductance I've messed around a bit with my settings but have only gotten more splatter what direction would you recommend if you don't mind me asking...

My setup when I welded that originally was on 3/16" plate @ 17v 220 speed and 15 on the gas gauge while pulling the trigger .030 wire and c25 and at that time I didn't touch inductance settings

I would normally set it about 7...or 70%. A range of 60-80% is what I'd suggest trying. But it seems you have too little voltage.

Okay thank you I'll try changing both and research inductance more lol
