    Default New 251si

I just upgraded from my harbor freight 90 amp welder to my first real deal welding machine. After hours(more like days) of research I decided to give Everlast a shot and I went with the 251si after discussing my options on the phone with Oleg. I was hoping I didn't bite off more than I can chew with this one but right out of the box it is pretty easy/intuitive to setup. I would definitely benefit from a more in depth manual than the one that comes in the box. I'm assuming Everlast will have one on the website that is more inline with the rest of there manuals at some point. I am a hobbyist that welds up projects around the house and fire station. Excited to learn from other people's experiences!

Zoama, you have a link to it. I did not find it last time I looked. What is up with the cursor jumping all over???? That's new...

I could not find one in stock but the part number that I have is SPX250-3035-20. First two letters are the series, third letter is the connector(x being euro), the middle numbers are liner size and the last two numbers are length. If you wanted the same setup in the heavy duty version with #27 screw on nozzle and red handle the part number would be HDX250-3035-20. The place I don't like (az) shows it on their website but they work like a drop shipper who won't allow the product to be shipped directly to you. They like to pretend that everything is in stock and your order takes two weeks to process. Any place that sells Profax can order you one just the same. Everlast could be a Profax dealer just like the CK deal.

The cursor thing has been going on for over six months. I cut and paste in front of the line it jumps to as a workaround.

I will hunt around. I was supposed to get an Everlast spool gun, but it never made it and tired of asking. We use them for the 25'. So I might pop for the Profax and use it, better on wire cost, smaller, lighter.

Funny. I have never had the cursor jump until I saw the post and went to reply and sure as heck it jumpped up a line. Never saw that. Not a fan of AZ either. Thanks for the numbers.
