Thread: Wire Speed Values

  1. Question Wire Speed Values

    I have a new POWER I-MIG 140E. I am new to welding.

I ran it through every wire speed block (10) on the dial. I ran each block 3 times at 6 seconds and averaged the speeds,

60-80-110-120-140-180-220-240-270-310. I realize that it's not exact science.

The manual states a max speed of 350.

    Any concerns here?

    Thanks
    Gordon

It's my understanding that the wire speed increases when you start an arc on all of the Everlast mig machines.
