PP256 Work table/cart

Here is a portable work table I put together after receiving my PP256 June 3rd. It shows home built cooler using an automotive in-tank fuel pump. Seems to work fine (set to 1qt/min @35psi). I had everything for build, just had to buy paint. Still waiting for extra package of plasma tips (as part of the welder price/deal). When they arrive I will try to post an evaluation.

Nice cart, the auto pump is clever idea, but where do you get the 12 volts to run it.

If you got an extra pack, call to make sure that they are on the way...

But that is a nice functional cart. My concern that you have enough air space around the unit to keep the unit properly cool. It looks like the water cooler is jammed in there.

The cooler is set to the rear, the front/side vents are completely exposed when the foot pedal is off the cart.

The rear area is of prime concern. You need at least 1 foot clearance from all sides, especially the rear. If the cooler is in the rear, then the heat is pulled from the cooler into the unit, reducing duty cycle.

The heat from the cooler exits upward, thru the power supply, and from this earlier shot,you can see, there isn't 1 foot from the rear of the welder to the argon tank, but it is round and there is space to move the welder forward a little more. Still, I'm not planning to do production work, just keep my welding skills current. I'm a retired fabricator/mechanic/dyno operator, with 34 years at Chrysler.

It's an old filtered DC power supply that I've had for years. I think any larger PC (computer) power supply would work.
