    Default Torch questions

I'm about to buy a powertig 255ext, I currently own a miller sychrowave and several torches, the favorite being a ck-20 series flex head water cooled torch. I know the everlast system uses a different dinse than miller, but can I swap torch heads?, I really hate to buy more torches to fit my fabrication shop needs
    Thanks

Just swap the dinse, it's simple.

Awesome, thanks wasn't sure of the line compatibility
I usually buy torches and parts from arc-zone, would I just ask for a 35 series dinse (water cooled)?

I used to deal with arc-zone but I found him to be quite dishonest. Everlast sells CK and knows what their machines require. I'd give Mark (Performance) a call at 877-755-9353 x204. He should be able to get you going. Post pics and let us know how it goes.

Ok, thanks, I didn't know everlast sold the pieces-parts. I'm calling
Monday to order a powertig 255ext and want to have everything I need to get going. Glad to hear I can do one-stop shopping. Was hopeing it was possible to swap out the dinse that comes with the machine for my torch and setup. Fits me like a glove and does what I need, but don't mind getting additional parts for the sake of simplicity
    Thanks again

    Yeah,

If I'm not mistaken, you don't need to buy anything extra. You can just put your flex-head CK 20 torch on the same hose/cable/Dinse for a 20 Series assembly that comes with the 255EXT:

    Standard Equipment:
12.5 ft Everlast 20 Series TIG torch with 35 DINSE style connectors and torch switch for 2T/4T operation
12.5 ft Everlast 9 Series TIG torch with 35 DINSE style connectors and torch switch for 2T/4T operation

I believe the torch head connectors are different on the oem torch. Mark will know.

Actually, I wish I did 100%. The issue is that we have been transforming some of our torches and I don't have daily contact with them to be able to speak intelligently about it. You could talk with Andrew at ext 206.

Mark, I bought the 255ext from you yesterday, you answered all of my questions and explained everything very well. I'll wait until it gets here, I think I have enough to get me started.
Thanks again, and appreciate your offer for help with the setup and use.
