Power I 200 issues

Recently bought a power I 200 unit. My cousin had tried the machine out before I bought it (this is my first tig unit). Everything seemed to work fine. Brought it home, hooked everything up and something isn't right. When I push the foot pedal to get started, it'll go up in amps at least close to what I've set it on and then it quickly falls back down to basically nothing. All within a couple seconds. Any ideas? I tried another foot pedal and I've still got the same issue. I know the machine worked great before I brought it home. Figure it's probably something simple. I'm hopeful anyways...

Are you actually trying to start an arc?

My instant guess was that it might be set to 4T and some erroneous sequencing.

Yes, it won't hardly start an arc. I've tried almost every setting on it just to see if it will do anything different and it seems to always do the same deal. 2t and 4t.

Since your cousin just used it and it was fine, it's probably an oversight of something silly.
