251si portable power source

hi there i am new to this forum and just finding my way still, i hope the was the appropriate board to post on.

i have 251si and i am wondering if it would be safe to run it off my miller 302efi trailblazer?

i cant seem to find the THD% in the manual or online.

does anyone have any experiences running the 251si off a welder/generator such as a trailblazer or ranger.

In Everlast's PDF manual it states:

"Note: If a generator is going to be used with this unit, please make sure that it is cer ed by it’s manufactur- er to be “clean power,” which is normally stated as less than 5% THD ( Total Harmonic Distor on). For proper opera on with a generator, make sure you have at least a minimum 9,000 wa s of surge capabil- ity and 6500 wa s of con nuous rated output capabil- ity."

I don't know what the Trailblazer is rated at for output, but I think it's lower in AC generator output than that, regardless of the THD. A Lincoln Ranger has more AC output, I believe, though.

My 210EXT is reportedly rated well for use off a generator, with its PFC, but I've never used it with one.
