I have a PP 256si and the back gas inlet twisted off and need a replacement, is this something I can get local (PA) or is this something that needs shipped back? It’s less than a year old?

Yeah,
I broke one off the back of my 210EXT.
They're not robust at their neck, and I just replaced the whole solenoid with one that had NPT pipe threads, so that I could use other fittings with it that are easier for me to find, like a 45 degree elbow and quick connect fittings.
The threads on that inlet threaded into the OEM solenoid didn't seem to be a metric thread, as I had a gal at a Fastenal store check it.
So, while I was waiting for a cheap solenoid with NPT threads (only was $18-$20) to arrive to me, I was able to just solder the fitting back togather for keeping the welder ready for use.
A lot of Chinese stuff is BSP or BSPP.
Long arc, short arc, heliarc and in-the-dark!
For those who don't know, BSP or BSPP is like npt (pipe thread) with no taper. It's supposed to seal with an o-ring but many Chinese manufacturers just put some sort of clear hardening sealant on the threads with no o-ring.
