Super Ultra 206 SI

Hey everyone,

I am new here. I just purchased a Super Ultra 206 SI last night. I was hoping for someone to give me some hints and tips about the daily operation of this unit, as well as some background information about the machine. I have not been able to find any independent Youtube review videos of this machine or any information relative to the 'model year' this unit first came out. There were no videos I could find on the Everlast site or on Everlast's Youtube channel. I read as many reviews as I could find about the 206SI and about Everlast as a company, but I wish I had a little more information about the 206 SI as a unit.

I bought this machine mainly for use as a hobby level plasma cutter and to also learn how to TiG and Stick weld. I will also be using this machine to fix the pieces that break off of my logging and sawmill equipment (trailer, mill, tools, truck, log arch).

This unit is an entry level machine. It does not have IGBT construction, only uses mosfets. It's warranty is 3 years instead of the 5. It's not meant for daily intensive use, just occasional hobby or semi regular weekend use. The original superultra units came out in about 2011. Updates happened to the machine about 2 years ago.
