PowerTig 250EX questions ---- foot pedal

Hello All, Here is my problem. I'm 71 and the shop is small. My machine is up on a shelf as I need my floor space. The issue is the 13' cord on the foot pedal. I know it is 5-0.5mm square area cable and as it is now I can only TIG in one place. I sure would like to be able to weld anywhere in the shop or even out in the driveway on my Aluminum boat.
So can the cord be lengthened without harming the unit? I would like 40' if possible? Lastly where could I get the cable? I did an internet search with no results, unless I wanted a 1000' spool!

I made an Extension Cord for my pedal. You can buy both a Male & Female plug to match what your machine & pedal use and put on either end of a cable like this ->

Thank you Blaster, I looked on ebay and didn't find this? Now I'll look for the 7 pin connectors. That would really work for this old guy.

Thanks for the link Kempy. Being on a fixed retired budget the remote has to wait. But looking through the site they carry what looks like a decent corded pedal. They offer two one 22K and a 47K one. They said check owners manual to see what you have, nothing in my manual other than a build date of 10/16/2012 and the serial number. Yet the remote states it works for either the 22K or 47K welder. I can wire a house or a vehicle, but electronics are not in my wheel house.

I just got the same, but thanks to your example, I went back to see that it really did post and avoided a duplicate. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
