Third Tuesday My AZZ!
I've been drag racing cars and boats for 40 years! During the course of that time I have had many parts and pieces, painted, machined, made, welded, etc. Well it usually went like this. Drop a part off at the appropriate place to be welded, machined, etc and told to come back next Tuesday! Next Tuesday rolls around and guess what, not ready! Another Tuesday rolls around, not ready! The third Tuesday, my ears are folded back. Not ready! This is where I tell the owner/operator, if you are smart enough to do this, I know I am! (3 college degrees (1 - Chem-Physics)) 6'6", 245 LBS - went to college on a basketball scholarship, could have gone on football and/or baseball also and golden gloves boxing! These little differences didn't last long.
So over the last 3 decades I have learned to paint, mill/machine, fabricate, weld, etc. ( I have my own personal machine shop just to satisfy my hobby addiction) My wife just tells me to grow up! LMAO! In 1994, I purchased a Hobart 250 Squarewave tig welder and learned to tig. Sold it and purchased a Miller Intellitig MPC from a clean room auction in Burbank, California at Lockheed Aviation! (A beast, 400 amps, even has a pulser, 1-10 pps, robot control feature, etc) I have welded steel, chrome-moly, alum, magnesium, titanium, and stainless. So here I am, one of my last purchases is a EXT325 and water cooler. I purchased it Dec 2017, been gone for a year and just now opened it and set it up.
MY first experience will be posted under the Tig section, today!
