Default Thinking about biting the bullet on a 325ext

I find myself at the edge of my 250EX with some of the aluminum projects that have come through here lately. Im thinking about getting a 325EXT for some of the heavier projects.

    Yeah,

The digital EXT units also have that surprising feature called Advanced Pulse or MIX TIG, which splits the time-on for AC and DCEN on aluminum. And if you leave the percentage of amps at 100% for the DCEN half it gives a surprising amount of penetration and quicker puddling, I think.

I mean, I'm only a novice on aluminum TIG welding, and I've only used it on my 210EXT for experimenting on some thicker aluminum. But it seems pretty effective. The 255EXT and 325EXT also have a few features that the 210EXT doesn't, like spot timer, one more waveform, and the Easy Mode.

I dig my 210EXT. You'd undoubtedly dig a 325EXT, and could probably quickly sell the 250EX for about half of what you paid for it, to defray the cost of upgrading to the 325EXT.

Go for it, especially before the State imposes a stiff new tax/tariff on North American importers and consumers.

"Christian Livingstone explores and demonstrates an advanced TIG welding feature that seems to be under-utilized and not even very well understood, as he is only now, after owning his Everlast 210EXT for nearly three years, getting around to testing the Advanced Pulse feature, also known as MixTIG."
